HOMO MONONEURONICUS
I just needed to take a look around to start realizing … it’s not something I had to convince myself of … a feeling of narrowness, of having a monolithic wall before me, with only a little hole for a single external tentacle … By the way, that wall and tentacle now accompany me in almost every social relationship (let’s even say in all relationships) … actually, I’m surrounded by the infinite number of specimens of this species now ruling on Earth, Homo Mononeuronicus, known in the profane circles as the mononeuronal man. If real art lies in simplicity, then this species is a masterpiece. Its minimalist perfection consists in managing to keep itself alive by using only one neuron.
He doesn’t know Unix: all of his needs are rigorously queued by him one behind the other, first the biological ones, then those psychological and of relationship, following a path scheduling the execution of one task after the other. When Homo Mononeuronicus eats, he eats, when he drinks, he drinks … when he has sex, he just has sex, one thing at a time … a perfect creature in mono sound (a stereo sound might well confound him, but he doesn’t like difficult music, as his music is also working in mono sound) … his system crashes no sooner than his environment requires him to activate more than one neuron. Then it goes haywire at once since it has already reached its peak in the self-maintenance process and can’t then perceive other people’s problems. This is no egoism, as one often mistakenly thinks, for real egoism is an act of cleverness, whereas here it¹s the system itself that is not responding.
Homo Mononeuronicus is not aware and I just can see that from his dull eyes (here’s the reason why I’m wearing all these sunglasses: to protect myself from the disturbing invasion of his external impulses), from his idiotic look, from his incoherent, upset, and arrogant manners. This race obviously can’t change, for it doesn’t examine its own attitudes, given that it just can’t do it. He doesn’t care about activating a second neuron, this would be fatal to his species since Responsibility has already started when the second neuron gets activated, whereas having just one active neuron means that you can comfortably remain unavailable for the others. Ah, the others … struggling with millions of neurons activated … yes, what fools they are in trying to make sense of their existence and, ah, may God bless them, they have to experience emotions and feelings, poor devils … they did ask for it, of course. Homo Mononeuronicus is kept from fears, anxieties, and other annoying things that might make him appear sensitive. As a matter of fact, in the night he turns off the one neuron he has, so he doesn’t even run the risk of dreaming. He changes from zombie into resting corpse.

First of all…Girl, Where did you get those SHOES!
January 20th, 2009 at 2:00 am
And secondly, congratulations on your new freedom of expression!
January 20th, 2009 at 7:48 am
Good but too emotional for my taste!
January 20th, 2009 at 4:19 pm
and thirdly: About Homo Mononeuronicus
Your vision is very good. Who knew that you could see so well in the dark? The name is more complicated than the creature itself.

Ok, Shredne, ok ike84. thanks for being the first posters here…sometimes it takes some time to approve the reply, you know that we don’t want kiddi porn and nazi stuff here, as well as I will moderate also offensive stuff that has a target my highness. But to answer, Shoes are Cavalli, and yes, it’s emotional, but better like this than always spitting on everything, the way I usually choose.

I like this new form of expression. And the less spitting, it is a waste of taste.

I’ve just re=read your work. I understand, I think, what you are refering to. There are indeed so many people, and not just men, ( as it takes two to start a species), who go through life only seeing what is directly before them. It seems impossible that they could lift up their gaze just a few degrees to see what is just a few miles up the road of life. Never mind that! They don’t even see what is right in front of them!
Mediocrity exists at every level. I have become accustomed to it, which I admit, is dangerous. I don’t want to accept it, but I don’t know if I can remedy it. So I cum here for some relief…
Am I the only one?
January 22nd, 2009 at 11:39 am
Mediocrity is a result of apathetic cold-hearted colourless disinterested disregardful halfhearted indifferent insouciant irresponsive nonchalant
unamazed unappreciative unconcerned uninterested attitude…

You have a unique philosophical perspective on Homo Sapien Erectus. I do agree that the collective intelligence the human species is quite low. But occasionally there are glimmers of hope in this human abyss
January 24th, 2009 at 4:22 pm
That’s why we are here, Msbrashear. To gather together, to share and to spread this among the others.
January 25th, 2009 at 10:15 pm
Stare long enough into the abyss and your desperate becoming mind will start to see your wished glimmers of hope.
I think each and every humanbeing excells at fullfilling his sex-driven goal reaching. Only thinking about his own profit sometimes colliding with that of others but that is only temporarily. Excells at his pitifull means of survival becoming dull in it’s repetitive character. Grey in it’s selfishness. Drowning in it’s social desire to test himself among the others. Proving his surfaced talents, not aware that those are actually not even on the forefront of his existence. Clawing for attention and recognition of his deeds wich are again actually only serving himself. Ah, damn I can’t take so much irony in one reply, it’s killing me!!

It’s tough to operate a brain and a penis at the same time. Just ask Bill Clinton.

Obama is brown and he’s a nice man.Unfortunately, he likes to eat @ fast food, big time …!
January 26th, 2009 at 10:44 pm
I’m not misogynist, but I’m going to be transformed!! With all this feminism… And nobody says anything…Where’re your other neurons?? One for reading and …the same one for writing!
Ok, now… Dear Anekee, I completely understand you if you’re in conflict with the “Homo World” but… Never forget this two things: 1) There’re a LOT of “Femina Mononeuronicus”, very useful… but just for writing many, many essays 2)Do not be “imprisoned” by this (real) point of view; do not search with your eyes and mind only insignificat persons ’cause you won’t see the “others”, and this is not a danger but a reality! Like Dante in the Commedia wrote: Don’t care about them, just look and walk! PS It would be more intresting, if you want, to describe the one specific behaviour… this would be more real and intresting, and above all, less simplistic! 2nd PS for guendy: If Obama likes to eat at fast
food… then for me and all the american citizens it’s ok, but for his wife…

Well say what you will, there are degrees of awareness or lack of in all of us. It may or may not be sad to say (depending on one’s perspective) that homowhatever is still our best hope. One may choose to see the negative side of every situation or see a glass as half full if the mood takes you. We all have our demons but very few are coming to us from the outside. Without a centre within it is very easy to find issues with things external. One cannot recognize them as such without first seeing them within. When they are found there and seem unacceptable it is easy to start the blame game with others who may be seen to offend in the same way. One has to make peace with oneself before making peace with others. It is the nature of the visible universe that it contains and expresses an infinite and diverse number of forms and qualities many of which are visible in people. Thank God for diversity for that is what he loves. Without polarity such qualities as beauty, wisdom, generosity and patience would not be recognizable without their opposites. Stay beautiful

I think it’s time for a new “Pic of the Week”!

Who knows if you’re gonne read a comment to an older post like this, but it worths a try. Or probably, not. That’s why after all, nothing as a sense, and there’s nothing behind that circle you talk about around, I think. Is a sad thing to say, but I had time enough to think about it. Obviously I’m not going to tell something of absolute, that’s not my stile. Rather I’d prefer that I should find something useful that move me from my standing state. I am really surprised. I read you for the first time when you still wrote in italian. I hated you. You’re such anti-social, such base-destroyer. It seems to me a way to caught medium-intelligence people who wants to feel themeselves something better against others. And I am sure you actually do this as well as you say the truth about your thoughts. It’s a wonderful way to get something from the sistem. Well, now that I read you again, I am surprised. You saw there’s nothing before rationality or ideals of sort. I get it too, with my experiences. Infact now that I am trying to write something in clean english (do exist an expression like that?) I’m just passing my time like a game, hoping to get something better, who knows. That’s what I’d like to ask you. You are beautiful. You are nature-gifted and that’s why you are strong. Really, really strong. You can take man’s minds and turn them to give you money. That’s today is a power with which you can build your isle of irrational serenity. And me? I think like you. You really think you want to help the world after yourself? Well. Tell me how. I’m just a normal man in a normal society and I’ve got no satisfaction. No one listen to me without thinking I’m mad (it’s a bad sensation, isn’t it?). At the moment I think that ‘Homo Mononeuronicus’ is the only way that allow no pain (and are you sure you AREN’T living like that?). There aren’t many more. I tryed them, and I almost die. So here I am, playing. Tell me what’s the way, if you think to know something.
And tell me in private. A little demonstration that you don’t think just for yourself. Maybe, if I like your answer, I’ll join your site.
E per favore, rispondi in italiano, che di inglese non se ne può più. Cioè, scusa, parli di società assolutamente priva di senso e parli con la lingua della globalizzazione? Ti perdono solo perchè se no ti ascolterebbero due persone, credo.
Oi.
Ci conto.
Andrea

I read again my comment. Sorry for the (enormous) language errors, I hope It’s clear enough.
November 9th, 2009 at 6:34 pm
Andrea I read your post, even if with a large delay. I don’t want to respond in private, not anymore. Private si business, I do it for money, you got that by now. Here is public and I have no reason to say some things somewhere else.
Yes, I chose englis, for it’s sintetic poverty (speaking about the internet global english, William), for it’s straight to the point nature. it’s almost mathematical, no? You like this, I know. We had so many missunderstandings in Italian.
Money? Let me do it elswhere, here is just words, free words. And as you were quick to say there is nothing behind the A in the circle, so you were quick to put something there, your post in this case. And this is the meaning here, to stimulate people to put something behind this A in the circle. I am not limiting posters intelectually with the big titts enviroment, am I? After all, you can also understand this to be a kind of “under cover” mode for a free thought… people I don’t want here are the ones not partecipating anyway for the sake of erotic nature of the enviroment.
Now, see this: I have this large sensible aureolas, they after the breast feeding and later after the surgery became even more sensible, almost to provoke me an orgasm if I concentrate on them only, but I also think that there is no way around the problem to connect an intellectual seeing of the world and the religion.

Dear members, please, get an avatar…it’s easy, just send a desired pic to a anekeeblog@gmail.com. …it’s so much easier for everybody to follow.

Sensitive aureolas, sensitive nipples, ACCHH! It’s too much! How can a man THINK when such images come into his brain! I think it’s impossible to have an intellectual discussion when the hostess is so sexxxxy. Also, it doesn’t take place in real-time. There is too much delay between call and response.
Mono Homoneuroticus? It’s a wanker, right? Well, that’s someone who is very lonely, very sad, because he/she isn’t involved in the world. No social contacts. Nothing meaningful, nothing lasting comes of it. Without people, you’re nothing. To quote someone, maybe Mark Twain: “Humanity is good, but it’s people I can’t stand”!
November 17th, 2009 at 1:30 am
One cannot blame Mononearonicus on anothers lack of understanding of one’s-self. The above post says to me that you Anekee have been hurt by loved ones that didn’t understand you in one way or another. (of course I can’t be sure of this for I do not know you past)
As much as it may feel impossible or at the very best difficult, all any of us can do in those situations is realize that the only sensible response to the lack of understanding is understanding itself and forgiveness.
to explain, a former Philosophy lecturer once said in a lecture “Language Fails at Communication”. Which is true, for how do we communicate the definition of any given word? By comparing it to other words and discerning what it is not, but not what it is.
Socrate’s life goal was to pin down exactly, the definition of everything. He failed, but in failing he realized something about the world, that the apparent impossibility of suceeding in such an endevor is a good thing, for it gives us the varried opinions people express and a world that can deliver such wonderful culture and art we have today as people continue the above quest in new and expressive ways.
In realizing that true communication is impossible, a certain degree of misunderstanding must be expected in all people you interact with, and cannot be avoided. The degree of misunderstanding will differ depending on how different your personalities and life experiences are but it will always be there even with a person that fits you seemingly “perfectly”.
In essence we are all along no matter how many “friends” we have, but to quote another famous “philosopher” William Shakespeare, in hamlet act 2 scene 2 he speaks of the world as a prison in a similar manner and says this: “Tis none to you, for nothing is either good or bad, thinking makes it so. TO me it is a prison”. Hamlet is talking about how although the world is a prison, he would have it no other way, for it is brilliant as a prison.
In Conclusion, the nature of relationships and their aspects are only bad if you think it to be so, reflect enough on a bad thing and eventually you may find a reason or 2 for why it is good.

This was the first posting I’ve read from you, though I have seen you on facebook and around the net. But, when I had read that you were a pretty good writer, I decided to see for myself what you’re able to do. As I said, this was the first posting I read from you, and I must admit I am impressed. I read through the comments and I can see where they may be coming from, but I can also understand your views on it. You’re surrounded by guys, so of course you’re going to comment on the simplicity of the guys that tend to be around you. You’re far less exposed the those that would be considered ‘Homo Mononeuronicus Females’, so they’re not as addressed here as they might be in something I were to write, for example.
But, I did have a different thought on this… It’s been my experience that I often don’t talk to people concerning more intelligent subjects because I’ve learned that there is a certain discomfort level for many people on these subjects. You can imagine my surprise when I find someone that doesn’t hold quite the discomfort that I might expect. The point is, maybe not everyone is quite as simple as you might think, but simply aren’t aware that they would be able to hold such a conversation with you. In our society, it’s often thought that a pretty face and a gorgeous body equates to a non-thinking mind, and where you may be the surprising exception to that stereo-type, it doesn’t mean that others would realize that.
Of course, this is not to say that there aren’t several mouth breathers surrounding you, as I’m sure the majority probably are. In fact, it’s my honest opinion that the majority of the entire population tend to be less thoughtful and generally are quite content in that. So, it’s good to see that you are more than just a pretty face, more than just a set of large mammary glands (which I simply adore, by the way). And where that is a good thing, is may leave a certain difficulty in your life. I look forward to continuing to read your work.
